Shepshed Dynamo F.C. is a football team based in the small town of Shepshed in the North West of Leicestershire, England.
Their home ground is called The Dovecote, which is situated on Butthole Lane.[1] Football has been played on this ground for over 100 years. Previous Shepshed clubs include Shepshed Albion and Shepshed Charterhouse.
Formed in 1994, Shepshed Dynamo originally played in the Midland Football Alliance and were champions in season 1995–96. They were therefore promoted to the Southern League, and took their place in the Western Division. In 1996 they reached the First Round proper of the FA Cup, losing 6-0 away to Carlisle United.
They currently play in the Northern Premier League Division One South and are managed by Caretaker Manager - Chris "Chalkie" White.

In June 2010 Barry Baker was appointed the new first team manager, he appointed ex-player Bob Norris as his assistant and Daryl Chappell as first team coach
In September 2010 Barry Baker resigned due to health problems, with former player Dave Frecklington taking his first managerial post. His reign was ended after a poor run of results left the club firmly in the relegation positions. Club Secretary Dave Wheatley and his assistant Andy Norwood carried out the first team managerial duties til the end of the season to allow the board of directors time to find a replacement for Dave Frecklington. Despite this change, they finished in the relegation places. However, they were reprieved from relegation to the Midland Football Alliance at the end of the 2010–11 season due to Rushden and Diamonds being expelled from the Football Conference.[2]
In May 2011, John Ramshaw was appointed first team manager.
Shepshed's traditional colours are black and white stripes, with black shorts and black socks, and their away colours are yellow shirts, black shorts and yellow socks. The black and white stripes represent the colours worn by Shepshed Albion, the original team to play football on The Dovecote.
The club's crest features a stylised D as worn by FC Dynamo Kiev
